Julie Stokholm

I'm a dedicated yoga teacher with 18 years of personal experience in yoga and meditation. My journey began with my own practice, and over the years, I've learned how yoga can be a powerful tool for both physical strength and inner peace. I'm certified in Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, Qi Gong, stress courses, and a heart-centered yoga practice, giving me a broad foundation for teaching various styles.

My approach to yoga is about finding balance between body, mind, and spirit. I strive to create a space where you can experience calm, strength, and renewed energy—both on the mat and in everyday life. I believe yoga isn't just a physical practice but a lifestyle that helps us navigate life's challenges with greater presence and understanding.

I teach at Komunity Yoga Studio on Islands Brygge 2-3 days a week, offering a variety of classes, including beginner yoga, Hatha, Flow, men’s stretching (for improved flexibility), and Yin. Regardless of the style we practice, my intention is always to promote health, well-being, and mindful movement.

In addition, I have a small private studio on Islands Brygge, where I offer 1:1 yoga for those seeking a more personalized experience. Here, I use yoga as a form of therapy—something I've gained deep experience in through my own journey and teacher trainings. Yoga has helped me through grief, stress, trauma, and personal growth, and I'm passionate about sharing these experiences with others. I truly believe yoga can be a powerful tool for navigating life’s challenges and supporting personal development.

I've developed a 1:1 yoga therapy practice, combining my personal experiences and diverse education into a tool that helps others on their journey. This course provides an understanding of how the body responds to stress and life challenges—and how yoga can help alleviate and prevent stress.

I'm passionate about sharing the tools that have profoundly benefited me, and I see yoga as a path to personal development and greater quality of life. I hope my teachings inspire you to find inner peace and strength, no matter what you may be facing.
